Stories about Dee

If you have a story that you would like to share,

please send it to us via our "contact" page.

From: David DuBois - Son

Mom was always there for me.  Whether it was picking me up from my first day of Kindergarten, taking me to baseball practice, helping me when I stumbled or teaching me how to drive a stick-shift.  Her love was unwavering.

She loved traveling, seeing new places, and spending time with her Brothers and Sister.

I love and miss her so much.

Sadly, I will not be able to attend Dee's Celebration of Life.

Since the end of the Parker Family Reunions, Dee has been my most consistent point of contact.

Fortunately, Chris and I were able to visit with Dee last August when we were in California.  Even though she had already suffered a stroke when we last visited, we enjoyed pie, coffee and a few games of Rummikub.  Just like old times.

From: Lauretta J. DuBois - Sister-In-Law

You were always a bright spot and an encourager to me as I entered the family of my husband. We shared together as sisters-in-law to each other. We shared appreciation for each other's acceptance in our in-law family. We didn't get to see each other very often in the last 30 years, but there were those rare and very enjoyable times when we did, like lunch at Laguna Beach overlooking the beautiful blue pacific.

I had hoped you might have joined us living in Turlock at Covenant Living, but that was not to be. Thankful for our exchanged emails and phone calls.

I loved you, Dee, and will miss you!

She was a great aunt.

We enjoyed our family reunions at Moro Bay.

Also spending time together at Clear Lake with John, Cheyanne, Earl, and my parents Weldon and Dee Parker

From: Dee Parker - Sister-In-Law

I met Dee in 1946 when I was dating Weldon. She was Weldon's little sister. And when Weldon and I married she was one of my bridesmaids. We were friends all the rest of her life. We traveled together, cared for family together, played cards and shared many family meals.

As Weldon's health deteriorated, she had great concern for him. Dee had a great belief and trust in God. I am sure she and Weldon are together waiting for us to join them.

From: Janet McCardle - Dear Friend

Dee was one of my best friends. Met her at Rolling Hills Covenant Church voyagers class and also through Audrey Deaton. We became best friends in her later years. Dee, Audrey and I would look forward to shopping trips to South Coast Plaza in Orange County.
